History
Myriade started in 1991 providing ICT services locally to businesses and educational institutions. Some of us were extremely interested in digital photography and we became the distributor of the first digital cameras from Kodak.
Myriade started to become the main suppliers for editors and broadcaster.
Our customers very quickly hit a digital wall with too many images with just a sequential name (img_001 - img_999), asking us to find a solution.
We teamed up with Pixolo from Hasselblad in Sweden. The main developer moved later on to Interfoto and created with others Fotoware in 1997 in Norway.
When digital cameras became mainstream we started focusing on delivering solutions for scanning and treatment of speed infractions for several police forces.
From then on developing software for digital speed cameras and ANPR continued to evolve.
Objectives
Our objective is to deliver the best possible service to all our clients, business and government alike.
We are helping our government clients not only to make the world safer by reducing the number of fatalities on the road but also to solve more crime.
This by helping achieve maximum verification with a minimal harassment of the users by targeting only the vehicles of interest.
Myriade etymology
Myriad comes from Greek Myrias, which in turn comes from Myrioi, meaning "countless" or "ten thousand." In literature Myriad is often used in combination with colors and stars as there are a Myriad colors in paintings and a Myriad stars in the sky; hence our logo with stars and colors. In Belgium we have 3 official languages; Dutch, French and German and the word Myriade is known and used in all 3.
